what do all those letters even stand for anyway?

I'm 15. That is soooo way to young for me to have to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life. Ok, so I don't really have to right now. BUT, I don't even understand how I'll be able to do it when I'm 18. or 21, or 25 for that matter! How are you supposed to pick one thing, go to college for it, get a degree and then do it FOR THE REST OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE? I don't get it. I really, really, really don't get it. AND who could even decipher a college degree once they got it? what the heck do all those letters stand for anyway?

I feel the same way..

and it's impossible to pick a good college unless you get accepted to an ivy league school or something. otherwise, all the college websites say the same things about how they have a "culterally diverse learning environment" and how their teachers are "trained to help with your individual needs" they have a "beautiful, historical campus" such and such a celebrity's daughter went there, and it's the perfect place to "cultivate your thirst for knowledge".

they're full of crap.

I think you basically just guess, spend a ton of money, and hope for the best.

I dunno what I want to do either..

mmmm..... i'm planning to go into environmental science, and yet, i'm 12.

just think about what you care about. what is the one biggest thing you would like to change about the world? choose a career that works towards fixing that problem. like an author fixes peoples' imaginations, a doctor fixes their bodies, an environmental scientist attempts to fix the environment.

wow. you're 15. you have the rest of your life to decide. chill out. if you dont know what u want to do just take the risks of not knowing or just go in an undecided major. duh.

I don't even understand why we have to go to a freaking college! (i mean it's not all bad... there's lots of hot guys at colleges) but why can't people just LEARN for themselves what they need to know. I mean, it seems like in a lot of things the people who just learn through experience or books are much better than the people who learned the 'proffessional' way. I mean... I don't want to think about what I'm doing in my future right now, I mean, what if i spent all of today wondering what I was going to do tomorrow and then I died in my sleep?? I mean, i could have just spent today doing whatever I wanted, but instead I spent it all thinking about tomorrow... and there never even WAS a tomorrow.

I hate society.

rrg, i can't believe you broke my hoe tag, you hoe!!

and about college, many people choose a major but end up switching it anyway, even if they were certain about it before. It's risky business no matter what but it's good experience and it's your life, you know.
